Back Again - Abbotts Lagoon

Friday, April 12, 2013

Well, it's been awhile! I allowed myself an enormous hiatus from mister blogster over here, while I got settled into my new Californian routine and constantly pondered about what direction this little blog space should go in. I'm no longer 6,000 miles from home, and I'm no longer volunteering on a gorgeous Italian farm, so what now? Do I just write about my simple life? Do I want a blog that's photo-centric, travel-centric, or completely random? Does the blog need a new name and a total makeover? Do I just stop all together?  I still don't have the answers, but I decided I just couldn't wait any longer. I missed posting, and I miss my East Coast friends and family who I feel I can connect with here. And there's just too much gorgeousness that doesn't want to be ignored any longer.

Bear with me while I figure it out, and feel free to send along words of advice/wisdom/encouragement! In the meantime, here are some photos of our visit to Abbotts Lagoon on the northern coast of the Point Reyes National Seashore. We packed up some deluxe egg salad sandwiches and cheap champagne, hiked out to the water and let a huge chunk of driftwood shield us from the wind as we ate. Jim pointed out animal tracks and I practiced my bird identification skillz. We enjoyed our first of many, many beautiful California days.
